Tercsi is a slaughterhouse and meat processing facility in Ineu, whose core activity is the processing and sale of meat.
About six years ago, the Tercs Compossessorate in Ineu began exploring the idea of establishing a slaughter point and a meat processing facility. The idea stemmed from the fact that, although many locals are engaged in agriculture, livestock farmers had no way to officially sell their animals. Currently, throughout Harghita County, there is no licensed slaughterhouse or meat processing facility with an integrated slaughter point, meaning animals cannot be legally slaughtered anywhere in the region. Based on this, the compossessorate decided to create a slaughter point and meat processing facility.
Alongside profit generation, the facility emphasizes supporting local livestock farmers in selling their animals while also meeting market demand. During meat processing, traditional products are made that evoke the classic flavors of childhood, prepared without colorants or flavor enhancers.
